Facial care from Slimminglabs
With facial care you take care of the health and appearance of your skin. Moreover, it is a nice moment for many people self care at the beginning and end of the days. But which facial care is really good? And which products suit you?
Steps of facial care
You probably know them: beauty influencers. Their care routines consist of 10 steps, with expensive products and all the time in the world. Nice to look at perhaps, but not exactly realistic. of 10 steps with expensive products they show an example of luxury, but is that realistic? A simple basic routine is often followed: wash your face in the morning and evening and then apply a cream to keep your skin hydrated. If you have specific care goals, you can add some extra products. Think of a serum, SPF, toner, makeup remover, etc. Your facial care routine is ultimately very personal and depends not only on your skin, but also on your goals, budget and personal taste.
What skin type do you have?
The packaging of a facial product often states what skin type it is intended for. But which skin type do you actually have? For a deeper analysis, it is best to visit a dermatologist, but a basic breakdown usually looks like this:
- Oily skin (a lot of sebum, prone to impurities)
- Dry skin (little sebum, easily tight)
- Combination skin (both oily and dry areas)
- "Normal" skin (sebum level is balanced)
- Sensitive skin (easily red and irritated; can be dry, oily or a combination)
Based on your skin type, you can choose moisturizing, purifying or protective products. If you have sensitive skin, hypoallergenic products can be a safe choice.

Do men have different skin than women?
In stores you often see clearly separated sections with care products for men. Simple packaging, natural colors and cool titles show the difference with women's products. But do men really have different care needs when it comes to their skin? In general, yes, and that has everything to do with testosterone. This hormone means that men generally have thicker, oilier and less vulnerable skin. But of course there are always mutual differences. So just choose a product that suits your care needs!
