When you do a detox, you will find that your immune system is strengthened, thereby improving your mood and metabolism.
  • More energy: With less of these toxins in your body, your body will keep more energy for other processes. You will experience more energy when you do a tea detox.
  • Improved digestion: The tea supports digestion and your intestines get a temporary break from digesting solid food by not eating heavy solid meals.

 

One disadvantage of detoxing with detox tea is that you have to consume a fair amount of tea to achieve the desired detox effect. If you don't like tea then this task naturally becomes tougher. However, there are also other ways to detoxify and detoxify your body.

Making your own detox tea

Examples of these ingredients are lemon, cinnamon, strawberry, cucumber, mint, anise, turmeric and lemongrass.

One of our favourite recipes is this spicy turmeric tea:

You will need for this:

  • Two cups of boiled water
  • Fresh ginger finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground ceylon cinnamon
  • 1 lemongrass tea bag
  • 6 peppercorns
  • juice of 1 lemon squeezed 
  • slices of fresh orange
  • optional: a dash of fresh flower honey

preparation method:

  1. Bring the water to the boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add the chopped ginger, turmeric, peppercorns, cinnamon and orange slices.
  3. Let this infuse on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Add the lemongrass tea bag and remove it when the tea has reached the desired strength. (3 minutes is our preference).
  5. Pour the tea into a mug and add the juice of the lemon and honey, if desired.
